Segway ride through the Old City

Traveling with us on Segway you will discover the most significant landmarks of Budapest effortlessly. On this tour we will visit both parts of the Hungarian capital separated by a mighty river. We will ride along cosy streets of the new center and cross the Danube over Elisabeth Bridge in order to get to the oldest district of Buda, where we can admire the amazing architecture of the 19th century. At the southern tip of Castle Hill we will find the Fisherman’s Bastion, built in the neo-Romanesque style on the base of a stretch of the Buda Castle walls. In the Middle Ages this part of the castle was protected by the brave guild of fishermen, hence the name. We will also visit Buda Castle, well-known for the unique combination of architectural genres from different historical eras. Riding across Chain Bridge we will capture incredible views of Danube River and both old and new parts of Budapest. We will stop to admire the Hungarian Parliament Building and have a refreshing ride along the embankment. Enjoy this wonderful experience in a relaxed manner as you move easily around the downtown on a Segway.

Took a 2 hr Segway tour across Budapest, the guide was extremely friendly and knowledgeable of the different sites we visited.

History of the past

Our Segway tour starts with a beautiful ride through Elisabeth Bridge across the Danube to the statue of Queen Elisabeth, located in a cosy little park on the western side of the city. We will continue our journey along the Buda embankment and smoothly climb up to the Fisherman’s Bastion, where we can explore Matthias Church and Buda Castle, both rightfully considered to be the main architectural treasures of Budapest. Going down the Castle Hill with a breeze, we will appear at Chain Bridge, the very first bridge connected the cities of Buda and Pest. Over this bridge we will cross to the other side and find ourselves at the largest building in Hungary – spectacular Parliament of Budapest. Later on we will stop by Liberty Square on the way to St. Stephen’s Basilica, the main Catholic cathedral of the city. At the end of this wonderful tour, we will have a fun ride past the Ferris wheel on return to the office.
