What is the minimum age to ride a Segway?
The minimum age is 9 years and the minimum weight is 30 kg (66 lbs). The maximum weight is 120 kg (265 lbs).
The minimum age to ride an e-bike is 10 years. Our e-bikes have a low seat, so children can ride them easily.
What is the cancellation policy?
You can cancel a booked tour free of charge at least 24 hours before the start time, by email or phone. Later cancellations are not accepted. We trust our guests to show up for their booked tours. In case of light rain we provide raincoats. In case of heavy rain the tour can be rescheduled or canceled at your request.
For groups of 10 or more and for corporate events, cancellation terms may differ and are always stated in the invoice.
Do I need a driver’s license to ride a Segway?
No. Under Hungarian rules, Segway riders are classified as pedestrians, so no driver’s license is needed.
Can pregnant women go on a Segway tour?
The safety of your unborn child comes first, so pregnant women cannot take part in our tours.
Do I need to book in advance, or can we just turn up at the office?
Usually we can find a guide for you. Sometimes, though, all guides are already out on tours when someone walks in and wants to start right away. To avoid disappointment, we recommend booking in advance.
How can I pay for the Segway tour?
You pay at our office on the day of the tour, in cash (HUF, EUR, USD) or by card.
If you prefer to pay in advance by bank transfer, we will issue an invoice on request. You can also pay through PayPal, by PayPal balance or by card.
Can I have a Segway tour in another language?
All our guides speak English. They are trained to speak slowly and clearly with guests who are not native English speakers. We also have German-, Russian- and Hebrew-speaking guides on our team, so please book in advance. Some freelance guides speak other languages (French, Ukrainian and others), but they are not always available. Please write your preferred language in the comment field when you book, and we will check availability as soon as possible.
Will other people join our tour?
When booking, you can choose a private tour or a place in a mini-group. In a mini-group other guests may join you, with no more than 6 people in total.
If you choose a private tour, it will be completely private: only you, your party and the guide. We do not merge groups in this case.
Where do the Segway tours in Budapest start?
All our Segway tours start from our office at Galamb utca 3, 1052 Budapest, in the heart of the city, a few steps from Vörösmarty Square.
